Monroeville Loses Hurst for Year Monday, September 3rd , 2046 The season is finished for Joe Hurst of the Monroeville Yinzers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Yinzers reliever suffered a stretched elbow ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the South Beach Blaze. Team doctors said it would take at least 10-11 months to heal. This year Hurst has made 15 relief appearances with 8 saves. In 24.2 innings, he has permitted 10 hits, fanned 24 hitters and recorded 1 win and no losses with a 0.36 ERA. |
