Chappell Selected Top Performer in PA Monday, August 13th , 2046 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USPL Single A, but last week Calvin Chappell of the Laredo Hawks reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Chappell rocked opposing pitching for a .348 average (8-for-23), 5 home runs and 9 RBIs to come away with the award. So far this season Chappell has 26 home runs and a .229 batting average. |
