Kennesaw Loses C Spencer, Suspended by League
Friday, July 27th , 2046
Elliott Spencer of Kennesaw got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Myrtle Beach Seahawks. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Spencer for 3 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout.
"Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Spencer obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him."
This season Spencer has delivered 10 hits in 82 at-bats for a .122 average with no home runs. He is getting on base at a .215 clip and his totals also include 4 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year Spencer has played in 27 games.
