Player of the Week: Monroeville's Jones Monday, July 2nd , 2046 It can be difficult for a young player to step out of the shadows and assert himself in the USPL Single A, but last week Chris Jones of the Monroeville Yinzers reminded everyone just why he's here as he threw up numbers that made him an easy selection for Player of the Week. Jones rocked opposing pitching for a .357 average (5-for-14), 2 home runs and 4 RBIs to come away with the award. So far in 2046 Jones is batting .217 with 3 home runs, 13 RBIs and 6 runs scored. He has 23 hits in 106 at-bats and a .250 OBP. |
