Smoky Mountain Second Baseman Nets SA Award Monday, July 2nd , 2046 So far in his young career, Tom Scroby has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Single A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Smoky Mountain Hobeaus second baseman hit at a torrid .471 clip as he collected 8 hits in 17 at-bats, 1 home run, 5 RBIs and 4 runs scored. This year Scroby has collected a .254 batting average to date with 47 hits in 185 at-bats, 17 RBIs, 1 home run and scored 21 times. He has played in 47 games. |
