Week's Best Player Honored by SA Monday, June 4th , 2046 So far in his young career, Tom Scroby has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the USSL Single A in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old Smoky Mountain Hobeaus second baseman hit at a torrid .440 clip as he collected 11 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs, 2 RBIs and 5 runs scored. So far this season Scroby has put up a .233 batting average with 24 hits, no home runs and 6 RBIs. |
