Bad Behavior Costs Bermúdez and Ward Friday, August 17th , 2046 After an intense confrontation, both the Storm Raúl Bermúdez and the Arryns Steve Ward were handed their punishments today. The league commissioner's office issued suspensions for an on-the-field conflict that occurred at a recent Syracuse-Lake Erie game. Raúl Bermúdez will miss 4 games, while Steve Ward was suspended for 6 games. "Sometimes we go too far and have to pay the consequences," Raúl Bermúdez commented later. "Hopefully cooler heads will prevail the next time we play." This year Bermúdez is batting .190 with no home runs. He has scored 20 runs and driven in 14. In 16 starts this season Ward has compiled a 2-11 record and a 4.09 ERA. |
