Chris Johnson Hurt, Out for Year Monday, July 9th , 2046 The doctors have spoken and Chris Johnson of the Lake Erie Arryns didn't like what he heard. The 23-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Johnson sustained his season-ending injury during the Columbia River Rats game yesterday at Columbia Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Lake Erie medical staff reported Johnson had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 8-9 months. This year Johnson has a 1-1 record and a 2.33 ERA. |
