Rocha Slugs Bullets to 4-2 Win
|
Jorge Rocha was a major factor in the 4-2 Baltimore win over Ft. Worth. The Bullets center fielder went 3-3 with 2 home runs, a triple, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Perry Cox earned the win to go to 5-2. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, with 3 walks and 10 strikeouts in 7.1 innings of work. Ron Lucas recorded the save, his 4th.
With one out in the top of the seventh, Gabriel Luzuriaga had a game-changing hit. The Bullets third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Butch Cummings, making the score 4-2, Baltimore.
"I really like what we did out there today," Rocha said after the game.
With the win, Baltimore upped its record to 45-42.
