Archie MacMurchy never let the Grey Wolves get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his slider, to pitch the Stingers to a win, 3-1. MacMurchy got the win, improving to 7-5. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. MacMurchy allowed 1 run. John Walton converted his 2nd save in 3 tries.

Toledo used the bat of David de Meij to get the win. The second baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Stingers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"This was a tough loss," said Vancouver manager David Krause. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."

The win puts Toledo at 34-51.
