The Charleston Battery and Detroit Elite were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Detroit Elite starter Andrew Johnson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Charleston Battery, 11-5. The winning pitcher was Johnson, now 6-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6.

Detroit used a well-timed hit by Marços Mansilha to capture the win. The catcher socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Elite ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"We'll grab a cold beverage tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Mansilha said.

At 42-40, Detroit is in 6th place in the Silver League.
