Cattlemen Suffer 12-7 Loss to Battery
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
Ft. Worth got a terrific game from first baseman Semo Hoaloha. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Charleston, 12-7. Hoaloha was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Picking up the win was Tom Scots. He went 5.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 8 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 3. James Tucker got credit for the save for Charleston. It was his 14th of the year.
Chipping in for Charleston was first baseman Mike Case. He stroked a 2-run triple in the top of the second. For the game, Case went 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Case told the Charleston Gazette.
Charleston, with the win, climbs to 26-55.
