Battery Lose to Stingers in Walk Off
|
The Toledo Stingers got a stellar performance from pitcher Craig Fitzgerald, who handcuffed the Charleston offense en route to a win, 2-1, at Pacesetter Park. The Battery, now 18-43, have lost 5 in a row.
Ijsbert Reynoud was the walk-off hero for Toledo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stingers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"We put together a nice win," Reynoud said.
