Road Win Lifts Irving to 2-1 Lead in R1
Riding the 4-hit performance of left fielder Alejandro De La Cerdo, the Irving Blue Sox got a road win against the Crescent City Krewe, 7-1, in Game 3 of the 3L AA Championship today. De La Cerdo was 4-5 with 3 doubles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for the Blue Sox, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 1.

The Blue Sox took a 4-1 lead in the top of the fifth inning. Facing Crescent City hurler Dave Farris with one out, De La Cerdo hit a run-scoring double.

"It was a good win," said Irving manager Leonard Hall. "Not without blemish, but good."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field of the Krewe in Kenner.
