Raucous The Cocoon Crowd Propels Caterpillars to 2-0 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Grand Forks Caterpillars and the Syracuse Storm will take the 3L A Championship to a decisive 5th game. Facing a must-win situation today, the Caterpillars shut out the Storm 2-0 at The Cocoon to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. In spite of the loss, Syracuse right-hander Chin-yau Tu had a strong outing in which he threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball.

Noel Bourke, the Grand Forks first baseman, contributed a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 2-0, Caterpillars. For the game, Bourke was 1-4 with a home run.

"We're happy," Bourke told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at Storm Park in Syracuse.
