Getting offensive support from Brook Linen, the Toledo Stingers topped the Detroit Elite, 4-3. Linen went 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs for the Stingers. Josh Gentry locked down his 3rd save. Toledo, at 23-32, sits in 8th place in the Silver League.

Chris P. Bacon, who is tied for 9th in the SL with a .555 slugging percentage, aided the Toledo cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the third baseman drove in one run.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Bacon told the Toledo Chronicle.
