Matsumoto Hits 2 home runs in Shredders Win
A 3-RBI performance from Tetsu Matsumoto, who leads the SL in runs scored with 42, helped the Hollywood Shredders beat the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 7-2. Karl Dandleton got the win, improving to 6-4. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 1 run, while striking out 4 and walking 1. Willie Steele sewed up the save, his 2nd.

Hollywood relied on the hitting of Yamato Sato to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Shredders on top, 3-1. For the game, Sato had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Sato said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Hollywood, at 29-24, sits in third place in the Silver League.
