"Good pitching beats good hitting" is an old baseball adage.

Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.

Daisuke Yoshikawa of the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish proved the point at Ballpark of Henderson today, holding the Amarillo Warheads to 6 hits in a complete game shutout victory.

"Yoshikawa made us look real bad today," Warheads manager Juan Díaz said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."

Yoshikawa had 12 strikeouts and gave up 1 walk as the Puffer Fish took the 16-0 win.
