Hit Parade: Rodríguez Pops 5 Hits
It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-5 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Jorge Rodríguez, it came around today.

The 20-year-old left fielder scattered hits all over Nebraska Aquarium to pace the Redwood Rhinos to a 8-1 victory over the Ogallala Octopi.

Ogallala skipper Luis Muñóz told reporters in the press room that "Rodríguez deserves a hat-tip."

"He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Rodríguez hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit."

Jorge Rodríguez tripled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Ferry Zwaan in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Chiah-jen Fu in the 8th.

Rodríguez is hitting at a .266 mark this season. His stats show 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and 29 runs scored. He has played 61 games for the Rhinos.
