The Long Island Ducks knocked off the Capital Hill Interns, 7-5, at Alouettes Ballpark. Shigochiyo Baba was a big reason Long Island won. The right fielder was 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The Ducks sport a record of 35-54.

The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Carlos Rodríguez came to bat in the top of the tenth. Facing Capital Hill pitcher Tomás Dávila, he hit a full count fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Long Island on top, 7-5.
