The Northwest Territory Beavers defeated the Flint Crush, 2-1, in USSL Rookie action at Beaver Town. Northwest Territory pitcher Gerardo Tobías had a standout performance. The win belongs to Liu-chun Feng in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Ray Wright took the loss for Flint. Chien-shih Chen notched his 27th save in 31 chances.

Had Arnie Dunn not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Dunn hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Beavers.
