Victory Over Octopi Takes Beaumont to 50-33
The home crowd had a good time watching the Ogallala Octopi and Beaumont Crossbeaus get after it.

The Beaumont Crossbeaus defeated the Ogallala Octopi, 7-2, at The Target. Beaumont first baseman Matt Greene had a superb performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Casey Parsons got the win, improving to 3-5. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 8 and walking 1.

In the first inning, Greene had a 3-run home run for Beaumont. It was his 18th home run of the season and put the Crossbeaus on top, 4-2.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Greene said after the game.

The second-place Crossbeaus are 50-33.
