Crossbeaus Prevail, 4-2, Over Plattsburgh

The Beaumont Crossbeaus got a strong performance from pitcher Gerjan Muijen, who stymied the Plattsburgh offense en route to a win, 4-2, at The Target. Muijen picked up the win for Beaumont, going 8 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 9 hits. He now sports a record of 7-6. Kulani Wirrin notched his 9th save in 11 chances.
Matt Greene, who is tied for 2nd in the SR in bases on balls with 53, chipped in for Beaumont with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Beaumont manager Steve Ferguson.
