Hollywood picked up a win at The Hollywood Bowl, bumping off the Toledo Stingers, 8-3. Pitcher José Jiménez was a major reason the Shredders emerged victorious. Jiménez picked up the win for Hollywood, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 3-0. With the win, Hollywood raised its record to 23-21.

The Stingers had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Shredders going into the bottom of the second inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old second baseman Roosevelt Cartledge came to the plate. Cartledge hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 changeup from Toledo hurler James Brandon. It was Cartledge's 6th double of the year.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Cartledge told the Hollywood Daily.
