Ducks Lose to Crossbeaus in Walk Off
|
The Beaumont Crossbeaus defeated the Long Island Ducks, 5-4, in USSL Rookie action at The Target. Beaumont pitcher Alberto Ramos had a standout performance. The second-place Crossbeaus have a record of 45-30.
In the bottom of the ninth, Mattia Binotto had a chance to deal the knockout blow. And he did, punching a run-scoring sacrifice fly to right off Long Island pitcher Juan González.
"This was a good win for us," said Ramos. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
