The Long Island Ducks got a good effort from starter Andrew MacEwen in defeating the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish at Plattsburgh Park. The final score was 7-2. Long Island, now 27-39, holds down last place in the Silver R.

With runs few and far between, the Ducks had to seize their opportunities when they came. One of the most important chances for Long Island came in the top of the fifth inning, when designated hitter Carlos Rodríguez delivered a run-scoring single. The single was hit off Kolya Putilov and made the score 2-1, Ducks. Rodríguez was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
