Scots Now 2-2 After Subduing Elite
|
Tom Scots never let the Elite get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his forkball, to pitch the Battery to a win, 3-0. James Tucker nailed down his 8th save. The win gives the Battery a record of 14-27.
The Elite had trouble solving Scots, who surrendered no runs on 5 hits over 8.2 innings.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Charleston manager Matt Hunt. "Our pregame was pretty good."
