The Redwood Rhinos and Beaumont Crossbeaus rewarded fans hoping for nail-biter.

Redwood picked up a win at The Zoo, toppling the Beaumont Crossbeaus, 2-1. Pitcher Tetsuyuki Ando was one of the reasons the Rhinos triumphed. Félix Hernández notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now sits at 3-2.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Redwood designated hitter Flobert Immerrechts, facing Casey Parsons, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Rhinos the 2-1 win.

Immerrechts said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."

The third-place Rhinos are now 30-26, the Crossbeaus 36-20.
