The Beaumont Crossbeaus eked out a 2-1 win versus the Redwood Rhinos at The Zoo. Nobody did more than pitcher Cenek Stensel. He was terrific. Casey Parsons nailed down his 9th save. The first-place Crossbeaus have a one-game lead in their division.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, Kick Elsenaar's at-bat in the top of the ninth was vitally important. With one out, the Beaumont shortstop hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 2-1 lead.

"Every loss hurts," said Redwood manager Dave Parrish. "But this was a tough one."
