Immerrechts Powers Rhinos Offense
Redwood took on Capital Hill in front of a lively crowd.

A good performance from designated hitter Flobert Immerrechts helped the Redwood Rhinos defeat the Capital Hill Interns, 7-3. Immerrechts was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Rhinos. Redwood reliever William Wright picked up the win, upping his record to 7-1. Ramón Mendoza took the loss. Getting the save was Félix Hernández, his 15th.

Redwood used the clutch hitting of Jorge Rodríguez to capture the win. The left fielder drilled a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Rhinos the lead, 5-3. For the game, Rodríguez had 2 singles and 1 double in 5 at-bats.

"Today was a lot of fun," said Immerrechts.

The 9th-place Interns have lost 4 straight games.
