The Redwood Rhinos bested the Amarillo Warheads, 5-4, at Ballpark of Henderson. Kerry Carcia was one of the standouts. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The winner was William Wright in relief. His record improves to 6-1. Roy Harris took the loss. Félix Hernández recorded his 12th save for Redwood.
It could have been a different outcome for Redwood, had it not been for Jorge Rodríguez, the 20-year old left fielder . Rodríguez contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the ninth inning to put Redwood up, 5-4.
"I just tried to make good contact," said Rodríguez.
With the victory, the Rhinos upped their record to 20-20.
