Conditions were not ideal but Memphis and Beaumont were able to put their game in the books.

The Music faced a stiff challenge from Beaumont pitcher Douggie Westcott, but persevered to claim a win at The Target. The final score was 1-0. Westcott went 5 innings and allowed no runs. Pedro Cruz closed it out for his 1st save.

Ed Bowen made it 1-0 in favor of Memphis when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with two out in the top of the eighth. The Music went on to win.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Bowen told the Memphis Daily News.

With the win, the Music improved to 18-20.
