Cattlemen Lose Again, 3-2, to Shredders
|
The Hollywood Shredders got a stellar performance from pitcher Francisco Díaz, who handcuffed the Ft. Worth offense en route to a win, 3-2, at The Hollywood Bowl. Hollywood reliever Marvello Manalo picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Marvin Sidebottom was saddled with the loss. The save was credited to Eric Mason, his 2nd.
Hollywood took a 3-2 lead on Won-shik Yi's 1st home run of the season. The solo home run came off Ft. Worth pitcher Marvin Sidebottom in the bottom of the eighth.
"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said Díaz.
The Cattlemen, now 13-23, have lost 6 straight.
