The Target hosted a real pitchers' duel.
In a low-scoring clash between Ogallala and Beaumont, pitcher Frank Baldwin was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 win. Ogallala now has a 3-game win streak.
Ogallala used a well-timed hit by Manuel Ortíz to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Octopi ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Baldwin told the Ogallala Observer.
