Colorado Bats Go Silent in 6-0 Loss
|
The Baltimore Bullets topped the Colorado Billy Goats, 6-0, with right fielder Nathan Nelson playing a big role. Nelson went 4-5 with 4 singles for the Bullets in the win. Baltimore reliever Ron Lucas picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. Korbin Dallas absorbed the loss. Baltimore goes to 18-18, Colorado to 20-16.
Baltimore relied on the hitting of Jorge Rocha to pick up the win. The center fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bullets on top, 2-0. For the game, Rocha had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Nelson called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
