Octopi Suffer 6-2 Loss to Puffer Fish
|
Frederick Banks was a vital contributor to the 6-2 Plattsburgh victory over Ogallala. The Puffer Fish shortstop was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Caleb Hunt was the winning pitcher. Over 5.1 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts. Shuji Ando locked down his 1st save.
Plattsburgh used a well-timed hit by Jesús Tavárez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 3-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
