Rhinos Bridle Crush, 2-0
|
The Redwood Rhinos went home winners at The Zoo, thanks in large part to starter Roberto Palomina. Palomina stifled the Flint Crush, enabling Redwood to grab the 2-0 win. Redwood reliever William Wright picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Ángel Vallés took the loss. Félix Hernández got credit for the save for Redwood. It was his 9th of the year.
Carlos Chávez contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It was one at-bat that helped Redwood get the win.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Flint manager Steve Bryan.
The Rhinos now have a record of 15-13.
