Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Octopi
|
Good production from center fielder Toto Wolff helped the Ogallala Octopi topple the Amarillo Warheads, 4-2. Wolff was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Octopi. Ogallala reliever Henny Olthuis picked up the win, upping his record to 2-2. Iván Ferreira took the loss. The save went to Bob Brown, number 2 for him.
The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Wolff delivered big-time for Ogallala, stroking a dramatic 2-run single off Miguel Moreno. The game-changing hit put the Octopi on top, 4-2.
Wolff called the triumph "a good team win."
Ogallala bumps their record to 10-13 with the win.
