The Amarillo Warheads did just enough to secure a victory over the Ogallala Octopi, 4-3, at Nebraska Aquarium. Nobody did more than pitcher Bill Robinson. Getting the save was Tim Robbins, his 6th. Amarillo is now 12-10, Ogallala 9-13.
Amarillo used a well-timed hit by Kenny Clark to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Warheads ahead, 4-1. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Amarillo manager Juan Díaz.
