The Northwest Territory Beavers picked up a win at Ducks Park, knocking off the Long Island Ducks, 3-2. Starting pitcher Gerardo Tobías played a key role in the triumph. Northwest Territory pitcher Gianlorenzo Albertini got the win. He's now 2-1. Juan González was tagged with the loss. Chien-shih Chen earned the save for Northwest Territory, his 6th.

Runs were scarce in this one. So, Chet Hurst's at-bat in the top of the tenth was vitally important. With one out, the Northwest Territory second baseman hit a sacrifice fly, to give his team a 3-2 lead.

"Tough loss," said Long Island manager Kevin McCoy. "But we'll learn from it."

Northwest Territory is now 9-12.
