|
Quebec City second baseman Darren Overton was a significant contributor in his team's 4-2 triumph over the Bethlehem Angel Kitties. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Quebec City. Silvian Esser got the win, improving to 2-4. He held the Angel Kitties to 1 run on 4 hits over 5.2 innings, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Milton Loughens earned his 9th save in 10 chances.
With Quebec City leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Overton hit a forkball from Bob Wicks for a 2-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Baby Blues ahead, 3-0.
