Centennial Win at Shady Side, 4-1

The Fort Knox Centennial grabbed a win, 4-1, over the Shady Side Zoomies at Terriers Ballpark. Fort Knox designated hitter Carlos Delgard went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Fort Knox reliever César Pinto picked up the win, upping his record to 7-5. Martin Lumley absorbed the loss. The Centennial have an impressive 56-35 record.
With Fort Knox leading 1-0 in the top of the fifth, Delgard hit a knuckle curve from Ed Henry for a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Centennial ahead, 3-0.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Delgard.
