Crossbeaus Upend Warheads, 2-1

The Beaumont Crossbeaus defeated the Amarillo Warheads, 2-1, in USSL Rookie action at Ballpark of Henderson. Beaumont pitcher Clarence Green had a standout performance. Getting the save was Alberto Ramos, his 4th. Early on, the Crossbeaus, at 11-3, have excelled.
Beaumont used the timely hitting of Kick Elsenaar to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Crossbeaus on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Green.
