Angel Kitties Earn 4-3 Win Versus Baby Blues
|
The Bethlehem Angel Kitties weathered an outstanding game by Quebec City right fielder Elliot Banks to topple the Baby Blues, 4-3. Banks was 2 for 2 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Carl Rogers earned save number 13 this season. Bethlehem has now won 3 straight, while the Baby Blues have lost 3 in a row.
The game was at a stalemate until left fielder Masakado Yoshida came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Quebec City pitcher Santiago Díaz, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Bethlehem on top, 4-3.
"We'll try to build on that win," Yoshida told the Bethlehem Bulletin.
