Baby Blues Lose to Uruguayans in Walk Off
The Germantown Uruguayans took Quebec City pitcher Edgard Mendoza's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Ballpark of Albuquerque. The final score had Germantown getting past the Baby Blues, 4-3. Mendoza went 5 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 1. Francisco Souza got credit for the win, improving to 5-4. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits in 3 innings. With the win, Germantown pushed its record to 42-30.

Germantown won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Santiago Díaz on the mound for Quebec City, center fielder Job Wooddisse hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Uruguayans fans to their feet.

"We'll savor this win," Wooddisse told the Germantown Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
