The Capital Hill Interns did just enough to sneak past the Flint Crush, 5-4, at Alouettes Ballpark. Capital Hill pitcher Fernando Ramírez, in particular, had a standout performance. Capital Hill goes to 4-3.
Had Les Bucknell not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Bucknell hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Interns.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Ramírez told the Capital Hill Chronicle.
