Plattsburgh right-hander Jeff Morehead helped his team edge Northwest Territory by the score of 3-2. Morehead kept the opposing lineup in check. Morehead went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 10 hits, walked 0, and struck out 4. His record improves to 1-1. Earning his 3rd save for Plattsburgh was José Marquis.
Plattsburgh used the bat of Errol Rachinsky to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Puffer Fish ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
Afterward, Puffer Fish manager John Sirica was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
Plattsburgh is now 4-3.
