Behind a fine performance from Elwood Lee, the Long Island Ducks knocked off the Ogallala Octopi, 4-2. Lee went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Ducks. Long Island reliever Larry Ayala picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jimmy Morales took the loss. Larry Wilson finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Lee contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Long Island in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Lee took a fastball from Jimmy Morales and stroked the home run to left. His 1st home run of the season allowed the Ducks to leap in front, 3-1.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Lee said.

Ogallala drops to 2-3.
