The Redwood Rhinos started the 2046 season win an impressive 4-3 win against the Ogallala Octopi at The Zoo. Shane Hudson, the 20th overall pick in the 2046 draft, led the way for Redwood. Redwood reliever Félix Hernández was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Todd Wallace.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Redwood left fielder Armando Pineda, facing Todd Wallace, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Rhinos the 4-3 win.
"If you ever get this game figured out," said Ogallala manager Luis Muñóz, "let me know."
