The Levittown Blue Dragons weathered an outstanding game by Laredo second baseman Lee Montgomery to topple the Hawks, 5-4. Montgomery went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. The win was credited to Tuo-zhou Zhào in relief. His record improves to 3-3. Ralph Jones took the loss. Wessel de Best collected his 9th save.
The Blue Dragons got a big boost from right fielder Ramón Ortíz who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth inning off Hawks hurler José Hernández. It was his 33rd RBI of the season and put Levittown on top, 5-4.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Ortíz told the Levittown Herald.
Levittown now has a 3-game win streak.
